Hotel description

The hotel is located less than 2 km from the small town of Letohrad, in a historically significant place of a medieval fortress. The hotel building also has a museum with an exhibition of a medieval cellar, interiors and a book printing workshop. There is also a children’s playground and a small zoo.

For an additional fee, guests can use our wellness centre equipped with a sauna, a whirlpool, a steam massage shower and a range of massages and wraps.

The hotel offers modern accommodation units in two categories with a touch of history. Guests can enjoy Czech cuisine and local specialties in the restaurant with a summer terrace and beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. For special events, a medieval underground tavern or a historic column hall can be opened on request.

All rooms are wheelchair accessible or serviced by a lift. Rooms are standardly equipped with sofa, armchairs, desk, telephone, internet connection, 82 cm LCD TV, bath with shower and hairdryer.

Location description

The surroundings of the hotel and fortress are perfect for active recreation and our guests have several options, whether physical or sports activities. The region of the Orlické Mountains and Podorlicko is known for its cycle paths and quality conditions for hiking. The main routes of the Podorlicko area are more extensive for cyclists than the Orlické Mountains themselves with their ridges. Not far from the hotel within the town of Letohrad, there are also tennis courts with an artificial surface (artificial grass) and the possibility of table tennis for our guests. Letohrad also offers swimming in the local newly renovated swimming pool (there is a large swimming pool, children’s pool and other sports activities within the complex).

These 26 m2 rooms have a large bathroom with a bathtub and a large mirror and a hairdryer. The living area has a seating area and a flat-screen TV. The room has variable beds for 4 people. The rooms have a wide range of snacks in the minibar. Of course there is a WiFi connection and a safe in the room. Some units are also suitable for disabled guests. Extra beds are not available in these rooms.

Services description

The restaurant itself has a capacity for 40 people, but by connecting it with the adjacent column hall with exhibitions, this capacity can be increased up to 90 people. In the summer months is possible to use the terrace for another 60 people, where is a beautiful view of the nearby pond and the bike path around Letohrad. At the same time, thanks to the complete equipment, it is possible to organize catering in nature or barbecue in the courtyard of the Fortress. The restaurant is an ideal place for special occasions such as birthdays, weddings, corporate parties and other meetings.

In our restaurant we pay attention to quality, this is the reason, why our kitchen prepares meals only from fresh and local ingredients from the Orlické Mountains region.

First of all, we can recommend our tasting menu, which is prepared for you with the care and diligence, by our team of people who take care of the taste, but also the visual side of the served dishes. These selected dishes are always in accordance with the current season, precisely in order to maintain our standard and offer you only the best. In addition to a special menu, we also offer our guests a permanent menu.

The wellness studio is open daily from 09:00 am to 10:00 pm. Wellness services are intended for hotel guests and also for the public.

Visitors can use: hydromassage bath, massage steam shower box, finnish sauna, cooling shower and two fitness machines – rowing machine and elliptical trainer. The wellness is equipped with four sun loungers, bar with drinks and an LCD TV. DVD player i salso available on reguest.

Currently, sightseeing routes A, B, C and D are available. The first route A – historic rooms and cellars with collections of weapons, hunting trophies, pewter utensils and historic cuisine. Under the glass floors you can see the walls and walls of the original fortress. Visitors will also see spaces that had been walled up for 400 years and were discovered during reconstruction. The second route B will surprise you with the beautiful spaces of the second and third floors of the fortress. You will be amazed by the beauty of products from currently non-existent Eagle glassworks. You will see original figural sgraffito from the 16th century and a historic book printing workshop. The third route C is called “Magic Forest – the fauna of the Czech Republic”. The fourth route D contains Archaeological finds during construction work on the Orlice Fortress and other interesting exhibits.
