The Golden Lion Hotel is situated in the historical centre of Havlíčkův Brod on Havlíčkovo Square. It offers eleven cosy rooms with an extraordinary atmosphere and a stylish restaurant with excellent cuisine.
The hotel is located on the northern part of the square in the third house on the right, number 176. In former times there used to be the original guesthouse called the Golden Lion, with first written records dating back to the year 1559.

Location description

Havlíčkův Brod is located directly between the Prague-Brno route, just a few kilometers from the D1 motorway exit. The hotel is situated right in the historical center on Havlickovo namesti. The dominating feature of the square is the Dean’s Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary with a massive tower, which is open to the public during the summer tourist season and offers a view not only of Havlíčkův Brod. For guests who prefer movement, the city is the starting point for cycling and, of course, hiking trails. Near the square is Park Future. In the center of the park is located sports complex Kotlina with ice rink, indoor swimming pool, fitness center and squash. A little further you will find a summer swimming pool.

The Golden Lion Hotel offers pleasant accommodation in eleven rooms. Every room has a charm of its own. The works of graphic art by Bohuslav Reynek and paintings by Jakub Schikaneder help to create a unique style in all the rooms.

All rooms include a bathroom, double rooms have an extra small room.

The rooms are very spacious and comfortably equipped. A satellite TV (300 channels), a telephone, a personal computer and unlimited access to the internet are taken for granted and wi-fi. There is also a small library with a choice of Czech and world-wide fiction at your disposal.
We offer our guests free parking directly behind the hotel.

Services description

The restaurant in the Golden Lion Hotel seats 50 guests. It is equipped with rustic furniture, and unique lights. A wooden ceiling and watercolour paintings showing old Havlíčkův Brod by A. Veselý, help to create apleasant atmosphere during lunch time, dinner at candlelight or a meeting with friends over a cup of excellent coffee.
The menu offers both specialities and traditional dishes of national and world-wide cuisine, a wide range of beverages, Sundaes and desserts. Every weekday there is a lunch menu.
During summer you can use an open-air restaurant outside the hotel.
