The Mozart (formerly Pachtuv Palace) is a family-owned boutique hotel with almost 400 years of history. Situated just across the iconic Charles Bridge, it is the only hotel with direct views over Prague Castle and Vltava River, boasting 70 unique rooms and suites, two luxurious dining outlets, wellness centre, hair salon and meetings & events facilities.
Once a royal palace of the Pachta family playing host to the likes of Mozart (1756 – 1791), Casanova (1725 – 1798) and Wagner (1813 – 1883), the hotel retains a majestic glamour with ornate décor, crystal chandeliers and ceiling frescoes. Right here, Mozart himself composed his Six German Dances for the Count Pachta during one of their famous family matinees.
An endless list of International art pieces are featured throughout the building and private courtyards Iand the endless list which include Ignaz Franz Platzer’s original baroque sculptures, Pavel Roucka’s contemporary art, Maurizio Toffoletti’s magnificent marble statue, a collection of Fresco art and marble linings, Lutetia pictures from the famous Hotel Lutetia which have been acquired in a private auction in Paris and the largest collection of historical maps in Prague.
